I am a dentist that recommends Colgate-brand toothpastes to my patients. However, I always caution my patients that the term "Whitening" is a very generic term and is NOT related to tooth bleaching, which some associate with the term "Whitening". If you want to get your teeth really whiter, then I recommend a product like Crest White Strips. This has a true bleaching agent that will "whiten" your teeth much better that any "Whitening" toothpaste.
I like Colegate products for the fluoride and the low abrasivity, but I truly believe that the "Whitening" claim is a gimmick. Good product, but I don't like the possibly misleading advertising.
I like the intense taste of this toothpaste. Not everyone will like the strong taste, but it makes my mouth feel fresher longer.

This stuff is great - it really does a great job of cleaning your teeth and it tastes great. But, a word of warning, only use the pea-sized amount they indicated because it will burn your mouth! The peppermint is so intense that it almost stings. But it doesn't deter me from ever buying it again. It's just a great product and one of our favorites. If you're sluggish in the mornings, go ahead and squirt on a full brushload. You'll be awake in a hurry!

As an adult who cannot stomach the strong taste of adult toothpaste, others often tease me for my tendency to use children's toothpaste. However, despite this, I will stand by Blue's Clues toothpaste by Colgate as being a great toothpaste for children and adults alike.
Several years back I remember doing a science experiment for school which involved cleaning iodine from tiles with different brands of toothpaste. Surprisingly, Blue's Clues toothpaste beat every other paste we tried including regular Colgate and a classmate's prescription toothpaste.
It wasn't until a few years later that I decided to pick it up for use for myself. Unlike many toothpastes, Blue's Clues toothpaste isn't sickeningly sweet nor does it leave a bad appetite. It's much tastier than other toothpastes and doesn't require you to somehow cleanse your palette before eating or drinking afterward.
Additionally, certain tubes come with a musical cap which isn't something most adults would look for but it's surprisingly helpful as both children and adults do not brush long enough. However, you can brush your teeth to the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and feel assured, afterward, that you achieved a more effective cleaning than you normally would have. That is, if you can stand your roommates making fun of you for using this toothpaste.
Overall this is a great product!

i have porcelain veneers that are sensitive to stain, and i have to say that this is the first over-the-counter preparation that i have ever found, and it really worked fast. within the first four days of using the gel, i saw a marked difference. i use it last thing at night before going to sleep, and so far so good.

ok let me start off by saying this product really does work. If you are looking for toothpaste that cleans, keeps you're mouth VERY VERY fresh and also adds a shine. this is you're toothpaste. Before buying i thought for the price that i wouldent notice any improvement but was i wrong. This toothpaste has made my smile alot brighter. If you really want to make that perfect smile i would also say get the colgate gel too
