This is a good tasting, fluoride free toothpaste, which can be hard to find in stores.
However, the fact that some toothpastes contain sugar is rarely mentioned, but important, since sugar in toothpaste can of itself cause tooth decay, particularly if some of the toothpaste remains in the mouth.
It is unclear if the listed ingredients; "real fruit flavors", "fruit extracts; strawberry, banana, and other natural flavors" contain enough sugar to promote tooth decay.
This is a fluoride free toothpaste.
A level of about 1 part per million of fluoride is maintained in most public water supplies. Using a fluoride toothpaste increases fluoride intake when some is swallowed (almost unavoidable) and especially when children use it.
Do you want to increase a child's fluoride level to an indeterminate amount by using a fluoride toothpaste?
In school I wrote a thesis called, "The Effects of Fluorides on Living Enzyme Systems".
There is no question that mass fluoridation decreases dental decay. However, to sum up, I could not find a single enzyme system, plant or animal, which fluoride did not inhibit, or effectively poison; and that is a scary thing.

One of my children is sensitive to fluoride and needs fluoride-free toothpaste - it gave her headaches, nausea, and an itchy rash on her hands. I've been doing research and I'm not so sure that fluoride is good for anyone so I've decided to eliminate fluoride for everyone in my family. This toothpaste is great - the kids love the taste so they don't argue about brushing their teeth.

I have been buying this toothpaste for the last year, and my kids absolutely love it.
It is sooo much better than the "bubblegum" and "bubblefruit" flavors that other kids toothpaste comes it.
No artificial sweeteners is also a plus!
The kids seem to like the Silly Strawberry the best, but my daughter enjoyed the Outragous Orange Mango.
My only problem is the metal tube. As kids usually do, my children squeeze the tube from the center and with a metal tube it is difficult to straighten out. Really need a toothpaste tube key, but I can't seem to find one. Maybe Tom's of Maine should sell those too.

Generally speaking it is preferable to use natural products and avoid ingesting unnecessary chemicals but the downside of many "natural" products is the less than pleasant taste. This toothpaste is an exception to that. It actually tastes Good. I had no difficulty in getting my kids to try it and they prefer it to the better known commercial brands. Also they aren't getting overfluoridated as this product is fluoride free. (There is enough fluoride already in the water.) I am very satisfied with this product.

Colgate is one of four toothpaste brands I use on a regular basis. I guess I've been using it since I was a kid. That fact that it has the American Dental Association (ADA) stamp of approval is important. My teeth and mouth always feel nice and clean after using Colgate. The only drawback is that it sometimes burns my mouth a little bit for some reason. But I continue to use it very often.

For years, Crest was the toothpaste of choice. It had a dominating market share, due in large part to the fact that Crest was the first toohpaste to obtain the ADA (American Dental Association) seal of approval.The marketplace went through a seismic shift with the introduction of Colgate Total. Colgate proved once again that a market leader that grows complacent is vulnerable to an innovative competitor. The innovation: Triclosan, which actually makes your mouth fight bacteria longer and, more importantly, makes your mouth FEEL cleaner.
This version does not include the "Plus Whitening" feature. The Whitening element doesn't work as well as, say, Crest Whitening Strips; but it is better than nothing, and there is no significant price difference if you buy the version without "Plus Whitening."
This is a good product that shook the industry, but look at the version with "Plus Whitening".

Yeah!! Nice toothpaste!! It has a nice fresh taste. After brushing my teeth my mouth felt sooo fresh. My teeth seemed a little whiter too. The ingredients did not affect my asthma like so many others do. The material that the tube is made out of is great!! It makes it easy to get the toothpaste out.
